NPHL Preview For Nov 14th
NPHL Previews for Friday, Nov. 14
Grande Prairie (2-1-0-0) at Fort St. John (3-0-0-0)
GP looks to pull into a first place tie with FSJ as they travel to FSJ for the first of four meetings this season. Last season, the teams met five times with the home team winning all five games. [FSJ won at home 5-4 and 6-3 while GP won at home 4-2, 4-3 and 7-5]. In fact, the visiting team has only won once in the last eight meetings between the teams [GP won in FSJ 6-3 on Nov. 17, 2012]. FSJ has won six of the last home games vs GP including the only shutout [7-0 on Nov. 20, 2010] between the clubs in NPHL history in 46 games played.
Grimshaw (0-3-0-0) at Falher (0-2-0-0)
The teams play the first of four games this season and something has to give as one of the these winless teams will go home a winner. GRIM has the worst plus-minus in the league at -15 while FAL is goalless in two games to start the season. That has not happened since records were tracked in 1989. FAL won four of five meetings last season including all three at home and scored five goals in each game [5-1, 5-3 and 5-4] – they also won in GRIM 6-4 and lost 6-3. FAL has won six of the last home games vs GRIM since 2011.
