Athletics Advance

Athletics Beat Up Mustangs

The offense was certainly clicking for the Grande Prairie Athletics on Thursday night, more impressively then the nine goals scored though was the teams defensive effort.

After enduring a few misses in regards to shutouts earlier this season the A’s locked down their first of the year thanks in large part to a perfect team defensive effort. Heading into the final few weeks of the regular season Grande Prairie appears to have turned the corner since starting the new year 0 and 3.

It’s been mentioned that the past three wins have been some of the A’s most complete efforts thus far this season which seems to be coming at the right time. With Thursdays win over Hythe the Athletics now move just one point back of first place Fort St. John with two games in hand.

Grande Prairie will have an opportunity to reclaim first as they host the Grimshaw Huskies this Saturday night at the Coca Cola Centre.
